ICOBM Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the website of the International Conference on Business Management (ICOBM), available at https://www.icobm.net/ (the "Site"). The Site and the conference are operated by the Center for Research in Business and Strategy (CRIBS) ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this Site, submitting papers, registering for events, or utilizing any of our academic services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using this Site.

2. Description of Academic Services

ICOBM provides an international forum for the dissemination of research in business management. Our services include, but are not limited to, peer-review administration, abstract and full paper submissions, presentation coordination, methodology training workshops (such as SEM), official certification issuance, and managing publication avenues with conference proceedings and affiliate journals (ESCI/Scopus).

3. Intellectual Property Rights and Submissions

  • Author Warranties: By submitting an abstract or full paper to ICOBM, you guarantee that the work is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and does not infringe upon the intellectual property, copyright, or moral rights of any third party.

  • Plagiarism Policy: We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and fraudulent data. All submissions undergo screening. If plagiarism is detected at any stage, the submission will be rejected instantly, and registration fees may be forfeited.

  • Copyright License: Authors retain the core copyright of their research papers. However, by registering and submitting your work, you grant the Center for Research in Business and Strategy an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, translate, and archive your work in the official ICOBM conference proceedings and forward it to selected affiliate journals and indexing services (e.g., Clarivate's CPCI).

4. Registration and Account Security

To access certain features of the Site or register for the conference, you may be required to provide personal information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any access details and for all activities that occur under your designation.

5. Payment and Financial Transactions

All fees for conference registration, audience passes, and specialized workshop certificates must be paid in full through our designated secure online payment gateways before the official deadlines posted on the Site. You agree to pay all applicable transaction fees, bank charges, and local taxes associated with your registration.

6. Code of Conduct for Participants

Whether participating in physical sessions or via virtual online streaming platforms, all participants, keynote speakers, and authors are expected to maintain professional academic decorum. Disruption of sessions, harassment, offensive language, or systematic technical abuse of the virtual conference software will result in immediate expulsion from the conference without a refund and a potential ban from future CRIBS events.

7. Third-Party Websites and Links

Our Site contains links to external websites, including affiliate journals, academic committees, or external payment gateways. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or operational practices of any third-party websites.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all services provided through the ICOBM event are delivered on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to maximize indexing potential and journal placement, CRIBS does not guarantee that any submitted paper will be indexed by specific databases (such as Scopus or CPCI) or accepted by external affiliate journals, as final publication decisions rest entirely with the independent journal editorial boards.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Center for Research in Business and Strategy (CRIBS), its directors, committee members, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your participation in the conference, technical glitches during virtual sessions, or the use or inability to use this Site.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CRIBS, its affiliates, organizers, and committee members from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your paper submissions, or your conduct during the event.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising out of your use of the Site or participation in ICOBM shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. We prefer that any disputes that may arise be settled first through an initial series of arbitrations, after which upon legal routes may be pursued if the initial series of arbitrations fail to resolve the dispute. Any  legal actions must be brought in the appropriate courts of Wyoming.

12. Contact Information
